Who is Yataro Iwasaki

What is important for me for you to carry a business next to be "Helpful"?  There are several factors.  "Passion" is one of them.  You hope to be passionate about your business.  "Vision" is also important.  There was a Japanese Business Person, who could be called first Japanese businessman in modern Japan.

His name is "Yataro Iwasaki" (1835 - 1885).  When all the Japanese people went crazy on political revolution in Meiji restoration, killing each other based on the difference of their belief, Iwasaki studied mathematics and business.  Later he worked for the local government which he belonged to.  Interesting story is that he was fired twice from his own government, once due to over-use of government money.  The other occasion was he was accused for inappropriate formality of his documents by his colleagues.  He could not fit in an organization.

I remembered to read business success stories telling me that one successful business person before he became successful, usually filed bankruptcy at least 3-5 times.  It was also note worthy that independent business person before success, trying to work in a company and could not fit.

Iwasaki also must have waited for his independence until he became very successful business person.  Later, he wrote that important factors in business is "Passionate" and "Visionary".  It looks like being successful model have not very much been different then and now.

Who is "Yataro Iwasaki", then?  He is the founder of Mitsubishi Corporation, which is largest conglomerate in Japan.
