Chain Reaction - 2

In last post, I mentioned about this Japanese saying "Kaze ga Fuku to Okeya ga Mokaru".  I double checked the English translation and found that the following is the widely used translation:

"After wind's blowing, basin-smiths get money."

For the people who are frowning to this expression, I would like to explain a little bit about this.  This is pseudo-logical explanation how the things happen.  There are several different explanation even in Japan.  Most typical is:

When wind is blowing, air gets dusty.  Dust will get into people's eyes and it will cause people problem with their eyes.  The people who lost their sight will become players Japanese string instrument which uses cats skin.  (There were traditional blind musicians in Japan who play instruments.)  The more cats will be killed and number of mouse increases.  Mice bite basins and damage them.  Basins owners need to repair or replace basins.  That's why basin-smiths make money.

The other one is:

When wind is blowing, it will cause more fire.  Fire damage houses, especially basins are all wood made, they are burned down. The house owners need to repair or replace basins.  Or the people escaped from house burned down need take a bath outside evacuation.  They need to build outside bath basin.  That is how basin-smiths make money.

Obviously this is a kind of joke.  Most of people would never believe this is logical.  But, in real world, things are happening almost more peculiar than this.

Hello Shaw,

If just one thing in the chain is missing that it has a different outcome. Keep following the chain to get the chain reaction.

Dear Dan and Deanna,

It is true that if the chain is missing, the result is not same. Your comment is very productive to keep the chain to maintain the continuity and consistency.

Thank you for your comment.
