This song is from a movie. The movie is the same name as the song. It is "Rose". The movie was about live and death of a singer. People may have opinions on the movie. The movie, however, was very impressive one. The singer, Rose, in the movie, lived in her full length to accomplish her life work, sing. The meaning of life could move viewers' soul. The movie is like supporter for viewers' lives. This is one of the movies makes viewers think about meaning of their lives and encourage people to make decisions in difficult times.

Bette Midler played the role of Rose. She is also the singer of this song. In addition to its beautiful melody, this song has meaningful lyric.

Starting the phrase "Some said love, it is the river", this song asks listeners meaning of love. It goes "I say love, it is the flower, and you, its only seed." It continues "the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance". It teaches people that they will not gain unless they try. It also songs "the dream afraid of waking, never takes the chance." Do not continue to just dream. Dream will come true if one takes his action. "It's the one who won't be taking who cannot seem to give". It is true that the one, who is not willing to be helped, tends not to help. The most impressive part of the song is the next one. "And the soul afraid of dying, never learns to live." If one were afraid of making mistakes, he would not do anything. If he does not do anything, he will gain nothing.



Whenever one needs to make difficult and painful decisions in life, this phrase and song would help listeners to encourage themselves. One would not be afraid of dyeing if he could learn how to live. Nobody hopes to face life or death decision. Iron cold truth of life would sometimes make anyone to face this much difficult decision. Would it not be true?

Life, however, is not just hardship. The song continues, "When the night has been too lonely, and the road has been too long". Everybody feels this way in his difficult moment. He may also think as this song goes as "and you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong". When one is down, he would not be able to believe love is for him, too.

This song finishes by assuring that one will regain his love some day, if he does not give up. "Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snow, lays the seed that with the sun's love, in the spring, becomes the rose."
